Why hasn’t my creditor been paid yet?

Updated over a week ago

If your loan has been funded but your creditor hasn’t marked the payment yet, there are a few possible reasons:

🏦 Electronic Payment Delays

Most payments are sent electronically, but it can take a few business days for your creditor to process and post it to your account—especially if they batch payments or have internal delays.

📦 Overnight Checks

In some cases, payments are sent by overnight check. Even with express delivery, your creditor may take extra time to open, apply, and process the check.

Posted to the Wrong Account

Sometimes a payment is received but not correctly applied to your account. This can happen if account numbers were updated or if there was a mismatch in the name or reference number.

📬 Lost in the Mail

While rare, mailed checks can be delayed or lost in transit. If that happens, we’ll work with Reach Financial to track or reissue the payment.

If it's been more than a few business days since your loan was funded and your creditor still hasn't received or applied the payment, contact support so we can help investigate and resolve it.
