Does Relief charge any fees?

Relief applies fees only when we’re actively helping you move forward.

Updated over a week ago

Creating a Relief account is free.

🧾 For Balance Reductions (Credit Cards & Personal Loans):

Relief charges a one-time platform fee for each submitted reduction request. This covers analyzing your creditor’s best reduction options and to automatically send your reduction request—no calls, paperwork, or back-and-forth required.

  • The platform fee is based on your estimated savings, making it a cost-effective alternative to traditional methods.

  • It’s collected via your connected bank account or payment method at checkout.

  • This platform fee is not a payment toward your debt and does not go to your creditor.

  • This is a one time platform fee an not reoccurring and not a subscription.

❓ What if my request is declined?

If your creditor doesn’t offer a reduction within 60 days, your platform fee for that request will be fully refunded.

🎓 For Student Loan Relief:

Relief charges an annual subscription for the student loan tool. This includes:

  • Automated loan syncing and analysis

  • Full comparison of federal repayment and forgiveness plans

  • A personalized recommendation

  • Step-by-step application guidance and submission

  • Real-time status updates and alerts

  • Educational guides, FAQs, and resources to help you make confident decisions

This subscription must be manually renewed each year to reapply or stay up to date with program changes.

⚖️ For Legal Protect (Debt Lawsuit Support):

Relief offers legal help through a monthly subscription that gives you access to:

  • A licensed attorney to review your case

  • Help with filing your legal response

  • Instructions and support for submitting documents

  • A review of your case for potential consumer rights violations

This subscription auto renews every month.

🤝 For Partner Tools & Services (Like Payoff Loans):

We may recommend additional tools and services from trusted third-party partners. Some of these tools are free of Relief fees—but our partners may charge their own fees or costs for using their services. We’ll always be transparent when you're being referred outside of Relief.

We may also receive a referral incentive if you choose to move forward with a partner service.
